Artist: The Smoking Mirrors
Director: Michael Yanoska
For my 50th Episode I bring you one of the best videos I've come across since I've been podcasting. In so many ways it demonstrates perfectly the ideals I want to promote in this podcast. It's imaginative, cheap, was produced by the band and is amazing to look at.
The Smoking Mirrors are two 18-19 year olds from Pacific Grove, California and one of the band members, Michael Yanoska, directed this very clever, low-tech video. After performing the track multiple times in front of a sheet in a kitchen, the boys edited the footage down onto 10 DVD's and then set up a ring of televisions to play the results. They move from screen to screen in perfect synchronisation and demonstrating all the while their multi-instrumental talents. To storyboard, film and edit this is impressive enough, to do it at 19 makes it incredible.

See you next week for another great music video.
